Step 3: Ready the multi-stage filter cartridge by rinsing it under cool running water. Do this for about 10 to 15 minutes. Doing this flushes out loose particles. After that, run it under flowing water some more to confirm that the water runs clear of any debris.
Step 4: Take the mineral stone case and open it up. Take out the mineral stones and prep them by applying a full rinse. Next, place the stone in a pot you can boil it in. Keep it boiling for 10 minutes. After that, drain the stone and air dry completely. Finally, scatter the mineral stones at the bottom of the bottom tank. Alternatively, you may place it back in the plastic bag. Just remember to wash clean and dry the bag as well.
Step 5: Sanitize the tanks. Wash both top and bottom tanks with a mild detergent. Afterward, rinse well then dry completely.
